I may have got this wrong, but my reading of the proposed rule change seems
to imply that those with a pre-1996 qualification who have not registered
and wish to register will have to embark on the pre-registration scheme,
taking a minimum of 3 years (from registering on it?), while those without
a qualification can count their previous 10 years experience. If this is
true it surely discriminates mainly against those who are not at the moment
members of the Society for whatever reason.
I did try to e-mail this question direct to Sue Garland but for some reason
it was returned undelivered. Has she changed her address?
