Does your Library have a collection of Readex microcards -e.g. Victorian
Parliamentary Papers- which is reliant on a microcard reader machine?
Our machine is now very fragile and , as far as I can discover ,
microcard readers are no longer manufactured.
I have contacted Readex and most microform companies listed in the LA
handbook with no success.
We can't afford to replace the Collection with microfiche or CD-ROM [ if
this exists? ]
Does anyone have the same problem? Is there anyone with a redundant
microcard reader - or readers - which is/are available ?
I have even tried to see if it is possible to transfer microcards to
microfiche ( assuming this is OK copyright - wise ) with no success. Any
ideas please?
