I would like to hear from anyone who is using the electronic
version of the British Library NAL independently of their automated
library management system.
I do realise that it's designed to be downloaded into a system and
work as an integrated part of it, but I'm interested in knowing
whether anyone whose system doesn't permit that has managed,
nevertheless, to use it, purely as a look-up facility. My hope was
to get rid of our microfiche version, and have cataloguers accessing
BL NAL from their PCs. My impression at the moment is that it
can't be done unless your system will accept it - or can it?
thanks in advance,
Jackie Hwang
