Earth Satellite Positions:


Digitizers

Temporary, part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.  Flexible
spending.  Detail-oriented and time-conscious workers to convert hard
copy maps into digital format.  Computer literate; UNIX experience
helpful, but not required.  Familiarity with GIS/CAS concepts and
software (ARC/INFO).  Background in Geography preferred.


Applications Scientist

Positions at mid and senior level GIS for satellite image processing.
B.S. in Physical or Earth Sciences required; advanced degree
preferred.  Must have experience and in-depth knowledge or one or
more of the following software programs: ARC/INFO, ERDAS, or PCI.
Security clearances desired.  U.S. citizenship required.

Manager, GIS Services

Earth Satellite Corporation (EarthSat), a leader in the application of
remotely sensed data for the exploration, development, and
management of the Earth's resources is seeking candidates for
Manager of GIS Services.  We are seeking motivated, hard-working,
experienced candidates with strong interdisciplinary GIS skills who are
committed to producing quality GIS products.  The successful
candidate must be proficient with ARC/INFO, ArcView, and their
retrospective development environments.  Working knowledge of
remote sensing and image processing including ERDAS Imagine, is
also required.  Programming skills beyond AML and Avenue,
experience with other GIS and/or image processing systems, and
systems administration experience highly desirable.  Responsibilities of
this position include:

Technical support, supervision, training a staff of scientists working
on
a variety of remote sensing and GIS projects.
Project and task management
Development of new GIS capabilities, and tools to streamline
production
Participation in proposal development and cost estimation
Assisting in the marketing of GIS products and services

This position requires a minium of 2-4 years hands-on experience and
an advance degree in geography or an environmental field.  EarthSat
offers competitive salaries, outstanding benefits, and a very desirable
working environment.  Security clearance desired.  U.S. citizenship
required.


Operational Meteorologist

Immediate opening. The ideal candidate needs at least a B.S. in
Meteorology.  Strong forecasting and  communication skills are
necessary as well as the ability to work well within a team setting.
Awareness of time constraints is also essential.  Knowledge of word
processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software a plus.  Some night
shift work is possible.  Include college transcripts and references with
resume.


Image Production Analyst


Image Production Specialist to orthorectify Landsat TM and MSS
imagery on UNIX and NT platforms using PCI, ERDAS Imagine and
Intergraph IP software.  Must work well in small groups under short
deadlines and be able to pursue several objectives simultaneously.

Minimum Requirements: BA/BS or equivalent experience in
Geography, Remote Sensing, Earth Sciences, Geology, GIS,
Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, etc.

Desired Requirements: 1 + year experience in digital remote sensing,
satellite image processing, UNIX/NT experienc.

Programmer/Scientist

Programmer/scientist with the following qualifications: Visual C, C++,
UNIX, sh, csh.  Other experience desired, but not necessary: HTML,
Java, X windows.  Familiarity with generating, manipulating, and
converting graphic files in a variety of formats a plus.  Working
knowledge of creating automated mapping products or georeferenced
data also a plus.  Should be able to communicate and work directly
with others.


Systems Administrator

Must have a strong working knowledge of Windows NT and
networking within the NT environment.  Working knowledge of UNIX
highly desirable.  Will be responsible for integrating Windows NT into
an existing UNIX framework.  Responsibilities will include setting
desktop and laptop hardware and software, installing Windows 95 and
NT applications in local, server and remote environments, general
PC/network troubleshooting, assisting in network design, and
providing end user support.

Qualifications:
Required:
        -4 year technical degree (or equivalent experience),
        -3 year experience with PC compatible hardware and
        Windows.
Desired:
        -Experience with Windows NT server, client, and networking
        -Experience with Electronic Mail (Outlook, Netscape, SMTP)
        -Experience with integration of Windows NT and UNIX
        -Experience with MS Back Office Suite

Salary commensurate with experience.

Photogrammetric Image Production Specialist

Must have a strong working knowledge of digital orthoimage
production extending from triangulation, through DTM extraction, to
orthorectification.  Hands-on experience with Intergraph's ImageStation
products highly desirable.  Will be responsible for project planning and
end product production using Intergraph's NT-based digital
photogrammetric system (ImageStation-Z) within a highly dynamic,
multi-sensor environment.  Input imagery will be from a variety of
satellite sources including, but not limited to , SPOT, IRS, Landsat,
RadarSat and IKONOS.

Qualifications:
Required:
        -4 year technical degree (or equivalent experience),
        -3 year experience digital photogrammetric systems.
Desired:
        -Intergraph ImageStation experience
        -Digital image processing experience
        -Working understanding of geodesy.
