Shucks: I rather liked "hals in, half out", but then I've been reading
Guy Davenport's Dutch stories & received images of a merman straining
for release...or something like that...
Should backchannel this maybe (but I've just looked outside & see a
large congregation of snow has gathered & I must grab my shovel called
"Non Servitur" & be about it), after receiving Shearsman & fragmente
recently I'm wondering where I might find a copy of the second part of
"For the Fallen".
It seems to me that in elegy all the sensitivities & adventurousness of
the (British, anyway) innovative poetries shine: I think of "Peter
Riley's "Ospita", Tony Baker's "As You Were", Doug Oliver's "Bonis
Avibus" & what I've read of the "Fallen" work. Others will no doubt
come to others' minds.
all best, Pete.
