We have two procedures.
Firstly, a graduand with a debt less than £200 is allowed
formally to graduate (either in person or in absentia) but
the parchment is with-held until the debt is paid. That
having been done, the degree diploma is released - with the
original date of graduation thereupon.
Graduation debtors with larger debts are not permitted even
to graduate - the application is set aside, not being
processed at all - and the degree is conferred when the
debt is paid, with the graduation date being shortly after
the payment date, if in absentia (as most of those tend to
be), or on the *actual date* of conferral, if in person.
Festive greeting to all our readers.
