A CD has been produced to help teachers in the UK use the internet in all
curriculum areas.  The CD is sponsored by Demon Internet, Polygram, Edge
Hill University College and supported by Daily Telegraph and Internet
Magazine .Net.  This sponsorship is enabling the CD to be sold for just
1.99 each (including postage and packing).  The CD provides an internet
trial and loads of internet software.  Hundreds of links education
webpages, listservs and newsgroups are provided.  A directory of over 2000
schools from over 50 countries are provided, each including an email
address and contact person.  If this was not enough the entire website of
Becta, National Science Museum and the DfEE are included.  All this plus
much more for just 1.99.  The release date is January 18th.  Orders are
being taken now.  All orders received before 18th January will have there
orders dispatched on this date.  Orders after this date will have 14 day
delivery period.

A competititon is being run to schools who purchase a copy.  You simply
return the registration card to stand a chance of winning software and
books.

I hope you do not find this email offensive.  Although the CD has major
sponsors behind it, it is relying on free advertising to let teachers now
about it, in order to keep the price as low as possible.  The normal price
was 25 pounds before this sponsorship.  The TES Online and Junior Education
are doing articles about the CD in forthcoming editions.
