Couldn't this be correct?
In the Financial Support for Students 1998/99 leaflet on page 34, the
example is given of a residual parental income of 30,000 pounds, giving
the student's fee contribution as 1,000 pounds and the grant to the
student of 497 pounds.
So a student *could* be paying full fees but still receiving a
maintenance award.
At least I think this is what it means - please correct me if I've got it
wrong!
