Following the concerns raised by Peter Anderson we have checked our
HESES reports and confirm that we do not believe there are any errors in
the comparison .
The differences between the data submitted on HESES97 and as shown in
the sheets is due to a number of adjustments we have made to try and
reconcile differences in the data.
The adjustments we have made are:
1 Removing all students in professions allied to medicine, as returned
in response to Request 97/31, from the fundable category.
2. Shifted students in sports science and education following the
review. We have made assumptions about student counts as the data were
only confirmed in terms of FTEs
3. Shifted students who were returned in error to price group A last
year.
I hope this clarifies what these tables are showing.
