I recently appended, to my enquiry for an email address, an invitation to review books for the
British Journal for the History of Science. A pleasing proportion of those who kindly responded
also offered to review. It seems that in these pressured times the Book Reviews Editor's job is
not as hopeless as I had come to think. I am thus encouraged to make this general appeal.
If you would like to be considered as a reviewer of books for the BJHS, please email me,
mentioning broad areas of expertise/interest.
I will email you when a suitable book arrives. Alternatively, you can scan the pages of 'Books
Received' in the BJHS and tell me if any take your fancy. I should add that I cannot guarantee
that a review will be commissioned and published.
With thanks,
Stephen Pumfrey,
