I was going to ask more or less the same question having read this
article which seems rather alarmist, and also seems to have a rather
poor insight into what University computer centres/networks are
about. As far as I am aware Middlesex isn't blocking any sites - in
fact there has been very little discussion of this matter here at
all.
The other thing which concerns me is that if we get AOL (or whoever)
into run the University network will it be long before some bright
spark suggests getting WHSmith's (or whoever) into run the library?!
Perhaps we should console ourselves with the fact that it is the
"silly season".
