Well, Toolpack (public domain) has a precision transformation tool which can
convert between single and double precision. An enhanced version of this
is included in the (commercial) NAG f77 tool suite. The NAG f90 tool suite
contains a tool (nag_prest90) which can convert a program to 90-style
parameterised precision. More information on the latter two are available
via our web pages (http://www.nag.co.uk).
