There's not a lot of useful information about Inchbald on the Web. No texts
online (neither "A Simple Story" nor "Nature and Art", none of her plays or her
criticism), just a few pieces scattered here and there (ie a short biographical
sketch from the Catholic Encyclopedia, excerpts of Inchbald's novels on the
University of Virginia's online "Dictionary of Sensibility", some inane
high-school student's outpourings, abstracts from secondary works on Inchbald
and other writers of the period).
A labour of love is Cathy Deckers' homepage
(http://locutus.ucr.edu/-cathy/wwpost.html) with numerous portraits of 18th
century women writers and short, personal reviews of the works in question.
Nicely done and regularly updated, well worth a visit.
A subgroup on the Jane-Austen mailing list has just started reading "A Simple
Story"(http://www.pemperley.com/janeinfo/janeinfo.html).
Hope this helps.
