It has always been more important who is reading the poem and HOW they read
it, than who wrote it or what it was, said or did (as if it had an
existence, as if it could speak, as if it did anything outside the readers'
readings).
The writer is 'read' as the important limit to the meaning (?being, saying,
doing?) of the poem - the authorial 'intention' supposedly preventing
validation of other meanings.
