TIM ALLEN edits TERRIBLE WORK. His first collection TEXTS FOR A HOLY
SATURDAY was published in 1995 (Phlebas). He lives in Plymouth where he
galvanises poetry events.
MICHAL PUCHIR was born in 1965 in Litomerice in the Czech Republic. He
studied glass and ceramic engineering, worked as a puppeteer and is a
freelance translator. These are his first published poems. Written in his
second language -- English -- the poems make obvious references to styles
of L=anguage poetry, whilst maitaining their own individuality.
MAQUETTE press is accepting manuscripts for consideration. The idea is to
publish short sequences of poems (c.10) or one long poem (all less than
2000 words please) that demonstrate an interest in the SCULPTURAL qualities
of language -- a maquette being the sculptors preliminary sketch and
working model. As the Bunting lines go -- "Words! Pens are too light. Take
a chisel to write". Please submit suitable manuscripts with an SAE.
