I like Leonard Cohen's approach. He once said that being a poet
is a serious thing, and that crawling over the carpet
in one's underpants while hunting for a word that rhymes
with orange is an important moment. But he also said
the word (poet) is used too freely, and that if one wants
to write, just do it and shut up about it.
I think Paul Stubbs should continue writing. It might
be bad for his (emotional) health, but so is worrying about
whether or not to stop writing.
All good things
