Nevertheless, Ian, YOU WOULDN`T DENY THAT IT HAPPENED
IN GERMANY, WOULD YOU?
The "Letter to Ruge" misnomer is a common error which stems
from a mistake in the relative sizes of type on the sleeve of the first
pressing of their farewell flexidisc. The band, at this late stage,
were calling themselves Letter From Brezhnev; "Letter to Ruge"
was the title of the second track on the A-side; the A-side proper
was "Saturday Night (Rock Da House)" and the b-side four minutes
and thirty two seconds of hissing plastic. No arty Cagean
statement this: looks like someone forgot that flexidiscs only have
one playable side.
