Surprising that a discussion group attends topics with points of
indifference. A discussion of how prose has transformed itself to poetry
would seem an appropriate topic.
This indifference suggests a corruption of another kind.
Elitism and self-righteousness to such a degree that one feels so certain
that one's approach and interpretation to methods of arrival, e.g., writing
poetry cannot be questioned, or serve as a subject for discussion.
And when approached about it, indifference is the response. Why argue?
Nothing can be gained, is the response. When in fact, much can be gained by
stating one's opinion.
The idea is not so much to agree or disagree. But discuss issues which
others perhaps would wish to skirt.
Feel sad for those who find indifference is a source for resolve.
