At Sheffield some of our students spend a compulsory year abroad in
their second year of study, thus we have some students who are
affected by the new funding arrangements who will be abroad in
1999-2000.
Is anyone aware of guidance on their entitlements next year?
For example, will these students be able to apply for larger loans to
reflect additional weeks of study and the higher cost of certain countries,
etc, and will help for extra travel costs be in the form of loans or grants?
I would be very grateful if anyone can point me in the
direction of any relevant information.
Many thanks,
Andrew West
