As the sub-title suggests, I have tried to integrate some underlying
principles of communication with practical applications. Despite
the 'business' tag, the book should be useful in developing these
'transferrable' skills amongst a wide range of students. One of
my main concerns was to make the issues seem relvant and
important, encouraging a questioning approach rather than just a
series of 'cook book' solutions. Hence, case study material covers
organisations ranging from Oxfam to Ikea. In addition, there are
many practical exercises and 'discussion points'. If you do decide
