Thanks for posting this - useful.
In my (limited) experience, it's preferable for students to develop
general abilities in an integrated way through a wide mix of activities.
Otherwise there's a danger that they are treated as add-ons, not to be
taken seriously.
I'm also a little wary of using a single model (with its inbuilt
assumptions and limitations), particularly in areas such as
communication, learning and problem-solving. Nothing particularly wrong
with the units, but even the level 4/5 ones aren't particularly 'high
level' in my view: where's the critical, creative thinking?
