Hi Tony
The webwatch robot trawled elib pages initially on the evening of the
14/15 November. The robot was then modified and ran again on the evening
of 21/22 and 25 November. We aim to run the robot in the evening. The
robot is designed to spread its hits, so that it doesn't overload a
server.
We will be analysing usage of Dublin Core as well as other technologies
such as Java, Javascript, CSS, XML, etc. We'll also be analysing server
software and URL usage (i.e. top-level domains)
We'd be interested in suggestions from eLib projects on the information
which you would be interested in. Look at the articles mentioned
previously (and http://www.ariadne.ac.uk/issue12/web-focus/) to get an
idea of the information we gather and the reports and graphs we can
produce.
Thanks
Brian
