Our students have also been at the Third World First rally
at U. Warwick last week, and have launched a campaign about the
dubious USS pension plan. I'm actually in another scheme, but TWF are
entirely correct. British American Tobacco? Ouch!
Thankyou all of you who responded privately with great enthusiasm to
my earlier rant about the non-engagement of critical geography with
'real-world' issues. I've received publications, anecdotes, and
ruminations about why this unhappy state of affairs should have
come about.
I'm almost more interested that nobody who is even
partially identified with the new critical geography, or its
journals, has uttered a word on this so far - or did I miss a
reply?
