* COPAC Documentation *
A range of COPAC documentation is available, for use in libraries and
distribution to end-users:
- A5 Flyer
- A4 and A3 Posters
- Web and Text Interface Userguides
Reasonable supplies of documentation are available free of charge to
UK University Libraries, if you get in touch we can discuss your
requirements. Additional materials can be purchased at cost
price. Other organisations can also obtain copies of documentation at
cost price.
Alternatively, it is possible to download Userguides from the COPAC
Web pages. You are free to make copies of these locally. The
Userguides are available from: http://copac.ac.uk/copac/userguide/
Currently userguides are provided in Postscript and .PDF formats. Other
formats may be available in the future - if you have any particular
requirements let us know.
* COPAC Training sessions *
The COPAC team can provide groups of library staff with an
introductory demonstration of COPAC and/or a practical seminar. These
might prove useful elements in your staff training programme or as
part of the meetings programme for a local professional association.
Because COPAC has been designed as an end-user system it is
straightforward to use. Thus the demonstration doesn't simply provide
a description of the mechanics of using COPAC, but looks at the
underlying design principles and some of the mechanisms which are
being developed to provide behind-the-scenes search support.
Finding time to try out new services can be difficult. A seminar
provides an opportunity for library staff to gain hands-on experience
of using COPAC. Members of the COPAC team will be on-hand to talk to
individuals as they are searching, providing assistance and discussing
system features.
