Hello all.
Following some interesting discussion in Helsinki, a working group has
now been set up to thrash out some of the issues behind the Canberra
Qualifier previously known as TYPE.
The remit of the group is defined as:
"This working group exists to define the framework within which optional
sub-elements may be added to the 15 elements of the Dublin Core. As well
as defining suitable frameworks and procedures for addition, the group
will construct an enumerated list of those sub-elements thought to be of
generic value across the Dublin Core community."
Given that we're not trying to come up with a definitive list of every
sub-element under the sun, I'd hope we can get through this pretty
quickly.
I've set up a discussion list on the Mailbase service and have uploaded
a couple of files (to remind those at Helsinki of what was said, and to
put non-Helsinkiites in the picture) to the Mailbase website.
Anyone who wants to join in the discussions should drop me an e-mail,
and I'll add them to the dc-subelements mailing list...
Paul
