Newcastle is launching a new MA in Environment, Law and Society in
1997. It's administered through the Geography Department but draws
on modules from Law, Economics, Town and Country Planning,
Architecture, Politics, Management Studies, Social Policy and
the Centre for Rural Economy.
The MA is strongly interdisciplinary, but the core modules focus on
what might be called the sociology of environmentalism and
environmental policy-making/implementation.
Interested students can get details from me at the address below.

Dear All,
Some of my students have been asking me which Universities offer good
masters courses in the area of environmental studies - with a
social/political studies rather than natural science emphasis.
Any ideas?
cheers,
alan
