UNIVERSITY OF LUTON
ADAPT Programme
The university has been successful in winning funding from the
ADAPT Programme, part of the Social Fund. ADAPT aims to
help the workforce "adopt" to change, through innovative,
transnational projects involving local partners.
Our project, SALES (Sales through Applied LanguagE Skills),
aims to help small or medium size employers (SME's), exploit
sales potential and opportunities through tailored language
programmes.
The university's involvement in ADAPT has opened up an
exciting opportunity as follows:
Language Lecturers
L/SL Scale £13,480-£27,712 p.a.
2 year contract. (Up to 3 posts)
To deliver business language training in French, German, Italian,
Spanish, Chinese or Japanese.
Successful applicants will
- hold a first degree in one of the above languages
- have a command of one of the above languages equivalent
to the standard of a native speaker
- be experienced in language training together with experience
in second language materials development
- be a confident language trainer for commercial business
clients, with an ability to quickly understand commercial
priorities.
It is expected applicants will have a flexible approach to work
(evening
and weekend work will be required), be team players and have the
ability
to establish successful working relationships with colleagues and
clients
alike.
