It seems that ISO8601 dates are not formally defined prior to 1875 or
something. If we adopt ISO8601 dates back to 0AD it should be stated that
DC dates are by default Gregorian or NS (New Style), especially for dates
prior to 1572 or whenever it was Pope Gregory introduced the new scheme.
