This seems to me to be short-sighted of publishers. As a counter-example,
the entire text of Adam Engst's "Internet Starter Kit for Macintosh"
is available on the web <http://www.mcp.com/hayden/iskm/mac.html> at
the publisher's site because they claim it has boosted sales of the
PRINT version! I've also come across another example of this phenomenon
but can't recall it at the moment...anyone else...?
