I agree; I wonder if these lists have gone too far in trying to include
everything we can think of. What I think needs to be utmost in our minds
when adding types to levels lower than the first group of broad categories
is: what functionality are we looking for to justify including highly
specific types? What will systems do with the information? I am more
interested in the practical than the theoretical, since the more complex
and granular the types become, the harder they will be to apply.
I also would rather see the specialized type classes elaborated in
domain-specific schemes; it goes along with the general DC principle of
extensibility.
