I'm sorry to say, after my fussing about screed and then suggesting the "date
pristine", that the latter won't do either. My same old dictionary
(Ox.Compact) defines pristine as "ancient, primitive, good old" and I don't
think they mean primitive in the computing science sense.
Perhaps I really mean the date neat, as "undiluted; of elegant simplicty in
form or arrangement...." but in fact if we want to refer to it we should use
more current terminology, as "unqualified date." Sorry. --pg
