Workshop for Senior Academic Librarians
As part of the eLib Supporting Study on *The Development of UK Academic
Library Services in the Context of Lifelong Learning* CERLIM, the Centre for
Research in Library & Information Management, will be holding a Workshop for
University Librarians/ Heads of converged services etc. on Wednesday 9th
July 1997 from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm. The Workshop will be held at Woburn
House, Bloomsbury, London.
There is no charge for attendance, although we cannot cover travel expenses
etc.
The Workshop will begin with a presentation on the eLib Study, including
background on lifelong learning and examples of library service
developments. It will include round table discussions on these themes, and a
discussion on the initiatives needed to enable academic libraries to play an
effective role in supporting lifelong learning.
We are limited to 25 places at the Workshop, but would like to have
representation from a wide spectrum of participants, particularly those
involved/interested in eLib projects related to Lifelong Learning. If you
would like to attend, please contact Jenny Craven, Research Assistant
([log in to unmask]).
