All very entertaining but not what believers would claim.
The book referred to is presumably the Bible (Hebrew with
non-Hebrew additions in Christian versions).
The Bible consists of a number of books authored by humans.
Believers claim that the authors were inspired by God.
There has, in fact, been an element of peer review of the Books
of the Bible. The books of the Christian Bible consist of only a
subset of the available material.
In an academic analogy God would be in the position of a
respected senior Professor supervising researchers. Papers are
published in the names of individual researchers but the all
pervasive influence of the Professor is recognisable.
Hoever, there is one sacred book which believers assert was
directly authored by God. It is the Holy Qur'an which Muslims
believe is the word of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in
the Arabic language.
Personally, I am an agnostic from a Christian (Methodist)
background, but in spite of my lack of belief I do not like to
see other people's beliefs misrepresented, even accidentally and
quite innocently.
Peter.
