A number of people have replied to me privately about the message.
Evryone seems to agree that its "Bizarre, stupid, pointless, absurd,
unenforceable, short-sighted!"
I could have added that the copyright statement also states that you can
"Download the material to store in your local computer for a period not
exceeding 7 days, provided that you also download this copyright notice."
This means that in 7 days time., if my local cache copy is still there
I'll be breaching their copyright.
Please don't sent me any more messages saying that their copyright
statement is daft!
Who is the CLA? Does it have any relevance to our work?
Although we're agreed that the statement is technically unworkable and
common sense tells us its daft, how does it stand legally?
Brian
