I'm not too sure whether you were asking a technical question or not. From a
technical point of view what you ask is easily done. However, the publisher will
probably take you to court for infringing copyright. I would suggest that you
get in touch with the publisher and ask permission. In a year or so you 'might'
be able to do what you want.
You could also get in touch with Helen Durndell at your library who may be able
to get SCOPE to process your request. We have agreements with several
publishers.

I teach on a second year undergraduate course with 270 students.
I would like to put some pages and figures from a text book on a web page.
It is unreasonable to ask each student to buy a copy of the book and 1 - 2
copies in the library would not satisfy demand.
It is possible for access to the web page to be password restricted.
Can anyone tell me how copyright law applies?
