Hi all...
Rachel's report is one of many that will be coming out of the 4th Dublin
Core workshop held in Canberra earlier this month, each of which aims at a
slightly different audience.
For example, Stu Weibel of OCLC (the Dublin Core 'god') is preparing the
official workshop report, which will probably end up in a journal like
D-Lib. There are three RFC-like documents being prepared (their exact
status isn't quite clear yet), including one syntax-y one by Tony Gill of
VADS/ADAM and myself, and a non-technical article by myself and Tony which
will appear in the next web issue of Ariadne.
As well as this, there are several fairly short reports floating around
(such as the one I wrote for the Archaeology Data Service's Management
Committee), and no doubt similar efforts are underway outwith the UK.
Hopefully, at least one of these will be pitched at the right level for
all of those who are interested, and links to many of the less obvious
ones will be included in higher profile reports such as the Ariadne
article and Stu's report.
In the meantime, I (and, doubtless, most of the other attendees) are
perfectly happy to answer questions.
A fairly basic (and slightly out of date) introduction to Dublin Core can
be found in an earlier issue of Ariadne for those who want/need it;

Hope this helps,
