An SOS to real-world librarians out there from the DIAD project:
We have completed digitisation on a five-year run (July 1965 - 1969) of
Design magazine and we are currently having a difficult time finding
unbound, in tact copies of Design from 1960 - 1965 (June). We are
loathe to destroy printed copies of the journal (despite what many
people think about these digitisation projects) and therefore bound
copies are not ideal for our purposes (plus, they don't have the covers
of the journals in these bound copies, which is often of the most
interest in our user testing sessions).
Does anybody have January 1960 - June 1965 of 'Design' magazine, unbound
and ready for scanning, in their collection and would you be willing to
lend them to us for a couple of months? Please let us know.
Thanks
