Further to the dissemination discussion, two options that are worth
noting; Library Technology and NewsAgent.
LIBRARY TECHNOLOGY
Going to 26,000 members of the LIS community, Library Technology
includes news and features on eLib, BLRIC and Telematics projects and
programmes. We would welcome relevant articles between 1,000 and
1,200 words, as well as press releases on substantive developments
and conference reports (but not conference announcements).
Please contact the LT editorial team: Robin Yeates ([log in to unmask]), Denise Voituret
([log in to unmask]) or Mark Kerr ([log in to unmask]) to
discuss/propose articles/features.
NEWSAGENT FOR LIBRARIES
This eLib project is developing a news and alerting service for LIS,
specifically aimed at delivering relevant and timely news to the
user's desktop. For prompt dissemination of events, developments etc,
this will become a prime channel for dissemination and communication
of developments in our sector. See http://www.sbu.ac.uk/litc/newsagent/ for
further details.
The combination of these two - along with the other dissemination
routes already discussed - will allow both 'breaking news' and more
detailed description of relevant work/products/services to be
delivered to the LIS world beyond the eLib programme.
