The 19th Annual BCS-IRSG Colloquium on IR Research, the premier event
in the UK for all those working in the broad field of information
retrieval, is to be hosted by the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen
on 8-9 April 1997. This year's programme (details below) includes 13
presentations from 9 countries, plus a keynote speech by Professor
Jamie Callan, Assistant Director of the Centre for Intelligent
Information Retrieval at the University of Massachusetts.
The deadline for registration for attendance at the Colloquium is
FRIDAY 28 FEBRUARY -- just a couple of days away. All those intending
to attend must register by that date, so if you have not done so
