I would like to announce the uk-web-focus-w3c Mailbase list.
I am the JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) representative on
W3C (the World Wide Web Consortium). The uk-web-focus-w3c list will
be used to disseminate information on W3C activities and to provide a
forum for discussions on W3C developments, such as specifications such as
HTML and stylesheets, and developments such as PICS, digital signatures,
XML, HTTP, PEP, etc.
Messages on the list are likely to be technical, although the list may be
used to discuss human issues covered by the Technology and Society Domain
in W3C (such as proposals for access by people with disabilities, rating
systems, etc.)
The list is *not* intended for discussion of end user problems,
applications, etc.
To join the list send the message:

Please note that the list is intended for members of the UK Higher
Education community.
I will shortly be sending a summary of the recent W3C Advisory Committee
meeting to the new list.
Thanks
Brian Kelly
