SCOTTISH COLLABORATIVE ON-DEMAND PUBLISHING ENTERPRISE
(SCOPE)
LIAISON OFFICER
We seek a Liaison Officer for SCOPE, a major project in the Electronic
Libraries Programme.
SCOPE is an innovative publishing service which will benefit students
throughout Scotland
by developing alternative forms of text provision: customised course
packs are produced and
an electronic resource bank is under development for direct access by
end-users.
The Officer will be directly responsible to the Project Coordinator
and duties will include:
- liaison with library representatives in the 13 consortium member
institutions to
develop products tailored to their needs
- promotion of the project to academic staff, librarians, publishers
and others
- evaluation activities
- sharing in other tasks in support of the project team
We seek an enthusiastic and flexible team player with a degree and
professional qualification
in librarianship. Experience in an academic library, familiarity with
survey techniques and a
range of software to aid personal effectiveness are all desirable.
We are hoping to make an early appointment which will run for one year
in the first instance .
Salary will be on ALC ?14317 - 15986 under review.
