Interesting incidental point from Dave Clarke about
'REDUCING the importance of geography in school teaching'.
This is a thought, that for many of us, dared not speak its
name, espeacially as the IBG was pretty supportive of
securing Geography'see in the National Curriculum.
Dave, are you suggesting we'll get BETTER geography
undergraduates if they never do geography at school (I know
from Open University teaching many years ago that that is a
distinct possibility)?
Or, are you suggesting we'll get MORE geography graduates
if they don't do it at school? (that, I doubt).
