Olivia Holmes. I have a Ph.D. in Comparative and Italian Literature from
Northwestern University, and since September I have been Assistant
Professor of Italian at Yale. I teach and write on Italian literature of
the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and the poetry of the troubadours. (In
Italian studies, I have articles on Guittone d'Arezzo, the Vita Nuova, and
the so-called Corona di casistica amorosa.) I am currently completing a
book about self-representation in medieval canzonieri d'autore.
