With increasing pressure for educators to employ ever more
innovative and flexible approaches to teaching and
learning, CALECO 97 will focus on the latest developments
in using technology in economics and business education including:
* practical approaches to implementing technology in teaching
* presentations of the latest economics software
* research interests
* international perspectives
The conference is suitable for economics and business
lecturers in the higher and further education sectors.
Conference Themes:
* using technology in economics and business education: issues
associated with teaching and learning
* implementing and integrating technology into economics and
business courses
* updates on recent developments in computer aided learning
in economics and business
* computer-aided assessment in economics and business: how
technology can be used to assess students' progress
* developing economics and business software to maximise
learning
* international economics and business education and
technology
* open and distance learning in economics and business
* using the Internet as a resource for teaching and research in
economics and business
The conference programme will be based around three
parallel sessions. These will consist of a range of:

- demonstrations
- workshops
- special interest group meetings
