Hi Shan, 

        As far as I understand it, you will get overspill if you have
lecture theatres with adjoining walls and induction loops fitted.  .  Have
you considered infra-red transmitters?  People wear a reciever which picks
up the infra-red signal.  We have such a system and our co-ordinator who is
a hearing aid user, feels that it's better than any induction loop she's
ever come across.  The transmitter is held on a tripod and also contains a
powerful  mike which picks up anything said in a large lecture theatre.
We've tried it out and several members of teaching staff (who have a hearing
impairments) were very pleased with the results when giving a lecture though
one did prefer the Sennheiser radio microphones for working in small groups.
The nice thing about this system is that it's quite portable and easy to set
up.  We also have headsets for people who may not wear hearing aids as well
as personal loops for those who wish to use the 'T' switch.  Just a thought.
I could explain in more detail but it would take too long to type in all the
