Hi Fiona,
re tweed and the like - i certainly didn't intend to
make it sound like some 'golden' era. For a nip of a lad
such as me at that time it was a 'rush'. From '75 - 79' as
in an adjoining post on ACME plus, early installation work,
performance art such as the Ting (tell us about the Ting)
and Brisley and Hannah O'Shea and Rose Garrard and such like.
I never witnessed much by way of tweed. The dress sense
seemed by and large donkey jackets and dungarees. Some
occasionally spectacular masquerade. Where were you
'hanging out'? Sounds like the 'hidden' 'history'. Were
there patches on those pint-cranking elbows? And my
memory is of it all being so colorful and 'groovy'. So
much like 'Boogie Nights'.
love and love
cris
