This should actually read
'Nate says that Karen Mac Cormack says that Alan Halsey says...'
In fact I was talking at the time about Prynne's use of the word 'rack'
in the last line of HWWR; the sense of a 'rack' of cloud, and comparing
it with Bunyan's use of the word in Pilgrim's P, in a passage I can't
put my finger on at the moment; and going on to go on about other
allusions to Bunyan, or Bunyan as a frequent shadow presence, in
Prynne's work generally.
