If you have an Anselm Hollo haiku, you need fear nothing. A few days ago I
was pursued by a Cornish guard dog despite the fact that I was on a clearly
designated footpath. I banged by walking stick on the ground in approved
dog frightening fashion and it kept on coming. Only my willingness to pull
out my now considerably dog-stained goliard volume and book the dog about
the ears saved me
actually a woman with child and sandwich in hands emerged from the
farmhouse and said _come here, you're daft as a brush_ - so i went in and
left the dog there
