Dear Marjorie,
Point taken. Yet it remains that the "entity", as you put it, conjures
responses, even amongst those (eg present list members) who are relatively
familiar with individual poets. There is a kind of eschewal of strict
accuracy, in using the supposedly comprehensive tag; but this is not
necessarily an eschewal of relevance also. It is interesting to see -how-
generalised descriptions relate to individual figures, to recognise that
antagonism; this allows for the work of individuals to be foregrounded
definitively (eg - Ken in his letter to Fragmente elects examples -from
the designated body of works-). I think there's a danger in overatomizing,
too. But, certainly, point taken.
Keston.
