Frances Presley began to outine women's use of experimental prose, but
it seemed more like an introduction to me, becayse I didn't have an overall
sense of why this happens, or if it does. Clearly women writers are
using prose, but is there anything essential about this use? Frances also
mentioned the myth of the autobiogrpahical in such writing and disputed
this, though there was some discussion of the use of the I in such work.
Possibly I'm vague about this paper because Bill Sherman began a long
Olsonian account of the term parataxis, which steered us off course.
Perhaps Frances, one of those like me eho seldom has time at work to
use this mailbase, might illuminate us, particularly on that P word.
